So according to my knowledge as a doctor, unless a natural cause of death is certified in the death certificate, any unnatural cause or no known cause of death will require compulsory post mortem. As part of post mortem, the skull will be opened to physically examine the brain. So in the movie, the body that was replaced in the station was that of a youngster who died as a result of head injury and was buried. He would have had to undergo compulsory post mortem. In which case his skull would have been opened. Any policeman who sees that will know it's not Varun's body. Please correct me if I made a mistake. Thanks.
